I am directed to state that His Excellency the

Governor has interdicted you from the exercise of the powers and

functions of your office and has directed the taking of proceed-

ings for your suspension and Alemiesal from the publio service,

upon the following grounds:-

(a) that you absented yourself from your office without

permission from the 15th. to the 17th. May;

(b) that on the 16th. and 17th. May you did not attend at

the Post Office although you were called upon by the

Postmaster General to do so;

(o) that on the 15th. Kay you were, owing to excessive

indulgence in alcoholic 1iquer, incapable of the proper

performance of the duties of your office.

2.

Any grounde upon which you rely to exculpate

yourself must be furnished to me in writing not later than

Friday the 25th. May.

3.

During the period of your interdiction you will

be allowed half salary and full house allowance.
